February Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Throughout history, jewelry has been one of the most enduring and enchanting art forms. Made of feathers, bones, shells, colored pebbles, and gold, people have worn artifacts and adornments to assert their beauty, identity, social status and relationship to their family and environment for thousands of years. Today, jewelry continues to provide an opportunity for self-expression, fashion, protection and deep connection to our personal life stories.

During the month of February, we are proud to present a solo exhibition by jewelry maker Tibby Speare. Entitled Lifelines: Revitalization with Jewelry, Tibby’s show is an ode to the practice of hand-making that has anchored her journey through life. Each and every piece in this beautiful collection is a personal expression and perhaps an ideal Valentine’s Day gift. We hope you join us this Friday, February 3rd, for the opening reception of the show during First Friday Artwalk 5–8pm. See you soon!

January Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Happy New Year! It is a time of new beginnings and this week we welcome yet another new blanket of snow on our beautiful mountain town. It’s been an amazing winter! Powder days abound and we are infinitely grateful. We are grateful for each unique and individually lovely snow flake, and marvel at its peaceful and gracious flight down. We are grateful for the snowy landscapes they create as they all come together and rest.

It is in this spirit that our artists have created a new group exhibition this month. Enitled ‘Snow Dance’, the show is up and ready for you to enjoy. We are open daily 11am – 6pm and happy to schedule private viewings upon request. We hope you will join us this Friday, January 6th, for First Friday Artwalk, 5pm – 8pm. See you then!

December Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Not very long ago, scientists discovered that trees are connected to each other underground with helpful fungus at their root tips. They can pass nutrients back and forth as needed, and older trees support younger saplings growing up in their shade. In fact, the neighbor trees don’t even need to be the same species to help each other. This web of connection keeps the whole community healthy and thriving through the cycles of sunshine and moonlight, green leaves and sparkling snow.

Like the trees, our Pine Moon artists believe in supporting and encouraging each other, and our larger community. With this web of connection we are all able to grow stronger and flourish. Please join us in December to celebrate new artwork featuring the strength of pines and the rhythm of the moon.

November Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

We have so much to be thankful for on this thanks giving month. We’re thankful for little things, like the perfectly beautiful frost patterns each morning brings. We’re also thankful for more majestic things, like the shifting of the trees and the newly covered snowy hills. Most of all, we brim with gratitude for you, our collectors and supporters. Without your engagement and patronage, our gallery would not be. Thank you!

During the month of November we invite you to see how oil painter Joanne Orce pays tribute to Steamboat Springs. Her exhibition Iconic Steamboat is now up in our front gallery and represents both the nuanced details and the grander things that make our mountain town so unique. Opening reception is this Friday, November 4th, from 5pm–8pm. We are open daily from 11am–6pm. See you soon!

October Newsletter

Dear friends and family of Pine Moon Fine Art,

Happy Autumn! Town is so lovely this time of year as it is slowly covered in the vibrant yellows, oranges and reds of the season. May we all enjoy the crisp air and cherish our early sunsets before the first dusting of snow settles in the valley.

This month, we are pleased to announce 'Au Naturel,’ a group exhibition supporting the Bust of Steamboat’s Paint the Town Pink campaign during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We invite you to see how each of our artists has chosen to honor the human body in its full beauty and strength. Opening reception is this Friday, October 7th, during First Friday Artwalk: 5 – 8pm. We hope to see you there!
